In August, Netflix began rolling out support for Netflix Profiles, separating recommendations for family members and friends. The upside was thus: John the father would no longer receive recommendations for children’s shows after the kids binge-watched a season of Dora The Explorer.
The feature arrived on iOS, PS3 and Xbox first, then meandered to Apple TV and other set-top boxes and now, four months later, it’s come to Android. And who says developers treat Android like a second-class citizen?
Along with Profiles support, which breaks down viewing history based on individuals on a single account, the latest version adds more granular and accurate search based on actors and related titles, and a number of performance improvements and bug fixes.
