Amazon.ca launches wireless store with unlocked phones, cases and more

Amazon.ca announced today that it has opened up a new wireless store with unlocked phones, cases, accessories and more.

The company isn’t really competing on price, at least for smartphones themselves, but the choices are good, from Samsung to Nokia to BlackBerry and LG. You can nab an international Exynos-powered unlocked Galaxy S4, for example, for  $529.99, which isn’t bad, but the Nexus 5 sells for $499, considerably more than on Google Play. The store also carries Blu’s line of low-cost Android phones, a brand popular in developing markets. At $761, Sony’s Xperia Z1 sells for less on the company’s own site.

The case store appears to be better organized, with choices from popular manufacturers like Otterbox, Speck, Urban Armor and others.

There are also smartwatches for sale from Sony and Pebble, and plenty of other cool items, like Jawbone’s UP fitness band and Big Jambox speaker.
