For the past number of years we’ve Live Nation and Nokia have come together for a summer partnership. This year, Huawei Canada has joined the party to promote its “smartphone devices at major concert events across the country.”
This is Huawei’s first major sponsorship in the country and also, according to the press release, “reflects a commitment to building the Huawei brand in Canada.” Similar to previous years, the title for this joint experience is called the “Make it Possible” campaign and is aimed “to create unique and memorable experiences for Canadian music fans. Concert-goers will be eligible for prizes, tickets, concerts and once-in-a- lifetime experiences with major global artists performing in Canada.”
Sean Yang, President Huawei Canada, said, “We are excited to be working with a leader in the entertainment industry like Live Nation Canada to connect Canadians with the Huawei brand, and our Huawei smartphones. We also know that by offering an innovative, stylish and affordable alternative for Canadian consumers, our new smartphones will create excitement.”
There is no word on which concerts or smartphones Huawei will be promoting, perhaps the Huawei Ascend Y530 or the Ascend P7.
Nokia is still working with Live Nation as well with the “Nokia All-Access Correspondent” that gave one lucky Canadian the ultimate music industry dream job (more info on that here).
