Vine for iOS gets imported videos support and new editor in update

Vine app for iOS update

With a new update, Vine has closed a significant feature-gap with Instagram, its main competitor in providing the world viral video clips. The update, available only for iOS at this time, now allows Viners to import videos from their phone for the creation of a six-second masterpiece. While Instagram has had this feature for some time, Viners have been forced to capture all video from within the Vine app.

The update also contains some advanced editing features for use with the newly available content, including preview and undo modes. Viners still looking to capture video from within the app have some new tools as well, including low-light shooting support, and a ‘ghost mode’ to help match shots to the last frame of a previous shot.

Vine says an Android update with the new features is forthcoming. iOS users should be able to grab the update from the source link below some time today.
