BlackBerry Passport set to launch September 24th

BlackBerry’s latest flagship device is set to launch on September 24th at three simultaneous events in Toronto, London and Dubai.

The Passport has been teased for months, with its touch-sensitive hardware keyboard and wide 4.5-inch display garnering much of the attention. The device is set to mark a significant departure from previous BlackBerry devices, too, by bundling Amazon’s Android-based app store along with BlackBerry 10.3. Also expected are aesthetic improvements to the OS, with flatter, more accessible buttons and icons, as well as BlackBerry Assistant, a Siri, Google Now and Cortana competitor.

The invitation asks us to “Save the date” so we can “See the bigger picture.”

Since one of the launch events is in Toronto, we’ll likely know carrier details and pricing on that day, too, so stay tuned.
