Uber giving free rides to ensure Canadians vote in upcoming election [New users only]

Uber has found another way to spread the word of its ride-sharing service by giving new users a free lift to the polls. The company noted on its blog that, “voting on election day is a big decision. We want you to think about what’s important to you – not how you’re going to get to and from the polls.”

With the 2015 federal election happening tomorrow, October 19th, Uber wants to help you get to the polling station on time to cast your vote and decided to give up to $30 in free rides (up to $15 each way) in the cities it currently operates, including Toronto, Montreal, Guelph, Hamilton, and Calgary.
