Just two weeks after dropping the price of its latest 5-inch masterpiece, Google has once again slashed price of the Nexus 5X.
Previously priced at $439 for the 16GB variant and $499 for the 32GB version, the smartphone now costs $389 and $449, respectively — prior to this month’s earlier price drop, the 5X started at $499. All three different colours — Quartz Black, Carbon White and Ice Blue — are in stock, and Google promises to ship the phone within one to two business days.
Motivations for the additional discount are not clear, but the Nexus 5X, like its Nexus 5 counterpart back in 2013, is seemingly poised to become another low-cost cult favourite.
Google’s other Nexus smartphone, the 6P, is still priced at $699 to start and works its way up to $849, though now includes a $50 credit towards the future purchase of a Huawei Watch.
