As developer news continues to flow in from Google I/O, popular music streaming platform Spotify has just announced that it’s launching its first Android TV app. The app lets users browse their Spotify music library on the big screen with the Android TV remote or the Spotify mobile app via the Spotify Connect feature.
The app will work for free or premium accounts (priced at $9.99 CAD per month) with Android TV version 5.0 and above. Potential users will need Android TV devices, of course, such as the Sony BRAVIA, Sharp Aquos, NVIDIA Shield, Nexus Player and the Razer Forge TV.
The new app is up on the Google Play Store beginning immediately, and appears to be already available in Canada.
