Apple CEO Steve Jobs is on stage now at the annual WWDC 2010 Conference and he’s announcing some pretty good stats to kick things off. He states that there are over 225,000 apps currently available in App Store. A whopping 15,000 apps are submitted every week and 95% are approved within 7 days. In addition, Jobs says that the App Store has seen over 5 billion downloads and has paid out over $1 billion to App developers, says “It’s hard to remember what it was like before the iPhone”.

Also the introduction of the new name for iPhone OS is now called “iOS 4″… has multitasking. Also, built into iOS4 is Apple’s online advertising solution called “iAds”… you’ll see these starting on July 1st (they already have $60m committed from advertisers for the 2nd half of this year).
The iPhone 4 will come in 2 colours: Black and White. AT&T selling this for a 2 year contract at $199 for 16GB model and $299 for 32GB model. “Pre-orders start a week from tomorrow.
