Video: Unreleased BlackBerry 9670 clamshell gets reviewed

We’ve seen pictures and a short video in the past about the unreleased BlackBerry 9670 clamshell device. However, today there’s been a 12-minute overview graciously dropped into YouTube for all to admire.

Although it’s not something I would go out and purchase but there must be a reason why RIM created this device… other than a throwback to the 90’s. First up is a hardware review where the design is apparently “very sleek and smooth”. The 9670 is a dual-screen CDMA device where the reviewer Driphter.com says that front screen is “very large” and the internal screen (resolution of 480 x 360) is also “very large and should make for a pleasant browsing experience”. Other specs are that it comes with a 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB port, microSD card slot, F-M1 battery and 512MB of Device Memory… and possibly may have a touchscreen feature to it.

The other video is another walk through of RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry 6. This is probably the best overview to date of the upcoming OS as he goes through the customizable home screen, music player, flip between screens, search bar called “launch bar”, BlackBerry podcasts, Twitter and YouTube apps are now included.
