Samsung launches innovation space at Sick Kids hospital

Samsung s8

Samsung Canada recently unveiled the Samsung Space with the Hospital for Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto as part of an ongoing partnership with Sick Kids.

The Samsung Space, which will be located on the ninth floor of the hospital, will be an interactive digital environment designed to provide immersive experiences for hospital visitors.

Using Samsung products, visitors will be able to experience the things that are most important to them, whether it’s their families, friends or favourite room.

“We continue to be inspired by the courageous young patients at Sick Kids. As part of our continued, meaningful partnership with SickKids, we hope this new Samsung Space can make a difference by providing fun experiences that allow children to be children and help bring them closer to the people, places and moments they miss most,” said Mark Childs, chief brand officer of Samsung Canada, in a statement.

Inside the space, hospital visitors will find a 75-inch SUHD Samsung television, a variety of Samsung GearVR virtual reality headsets, a Samsung Synced Interactive Table, allowing visitors to go use all their favourite apps or games, Samsung Gear360 cameras, Samsung Galaxy View and Galaxy Tab E devices.

The partnership also includes a $1 million donation to the hospital.
