Samsung increases Galaxy S8+ production following positive reaction to the phone

Samsung Galaxy S8+ production

It seems the thought of a 6.2-inch smartphone is more appealing to consumers than Samsung originally expected.

While some may have been under the impression that the 5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S8 is set to sell better than the larger Samsung Galaxy S8+, that may not be the case. A report from South Korea claims the Galaxy S8+ has received a resoundingly positive reaction from retailers and that Samsung has increased the production rate of the device, according to SamMobile.

Specifically, the product ratio was at 60 percent for the S8 and 40 percent for the S8+, but it now looks like Samsung has altered the production rate of the larger device. According to SamMobile, the S8+ will now make up for 45 percent of the production of both versions of Samsung’s new flagship.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are available for pre-order at all major Canadian carriers. The phone’s official release date is April 21st.
