Just in time for the summertime camping season, Parks Canada has released a new app to help Canadians make the most of the country’s natural treasures.
The new app provides users with information on Canada’s 39 National Parks and eight National Park Reserves, including details on how to find hidden gems located within each park. Additionally, the app includes information on historic sites and marine conservation areas that can be found at each park.
Furthermore, the app offers travel tips, interactive maps and the capability to add locations and events. One of the app’s more interesting features is the ability to snap photos and geotag them with a themed geo filter.
Additionally, due to it being Canada 150th anniversary, Parks Canada is offering 2017 Discovery Passes, which provide free admission for the entire year to all of the country’s National Parks. Anyone can obtain a pass through the new app.
The Parks Canada app is free to download through the Play Store or the App Store.
If you want to learn to camp, Parks Canada also offers a Parks Canada Learn to Camp app that provides tips to help novice campers.
