Bell has updated CraveTV, its video streaming platform, with a much-needed new and improved user interface.
While CraveTV has been available on multiple platforms for a few years now, the app’s UI and overall stability has been less than stellar, especially on Android.
The platform’s dedicated app now features a revamped browser menu, an improved ‘My Cravings’ section that makes it easier to add and remove content, and new Netflix-like sub categories that make the app much easier to navigate.
CraveTV continues to compete with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in the Canadian market, while Rogers- and Shaw-owned Shomi, the only other large scale Canadian-owned streaming platform, shuttered last year.
Along with originals like Letterkenny and the upcoming Indian Detective, CraveTV also features content from Showtime as well as HBO’s back catalogue of older television shows.
It’s unclear if Bell also plans to revamp its Xbox One and 4th Generation Apple TV apps.
