Fido has added a couple entry level devices to their lineup. The LG Neon 2 and the Nokia C1 can be yours for $0 on a 2-year contract. If signing a contract is not your deal then the Neon 2 is available for $150 no-contract and the Nokia C1 is going for a reasonable $50 no-contract.
The Neon 2 has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 240×400, can hold up to 8GB with a microSD card, 2 megapixel camera with video, FM radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth. Overall dimensions are 107.5×52.5×15.9mm with a weight of 122 grams. The Nokia C1 is almost as basic as it gets these days with a 1.8 inch display (resolution of 128 x 160), Bluetooth, VGA camera, MP3 player, FM Radio, holds up to 32GB with a microSD card.
