WIND Huawei U6150 will be available for $98

Huawei was relatively an unknown manufacturer in Canada before the new entrants came into town. Now they have slowly released a bunch of low-cost devices, officially opened up a Canadian headquarters and struck up a couple big innovation partnerships with TELUS. So they’re making headway here in Canada with the hopes to gaining a footprint in the States.

The U6150 is the latest device, this first showed itself in the latest WIND Magazine, and has now made it onto their site. The specs show it having a full QWERTY keyboard, runs off the Qualcomm BREW OS, has a 2.4-inch display (resolution of 320 x 240), holds up to a massive 8 GB with an SDCard, AGPS and a 2 megapixel camera that can shoots vids. Definitely not the highest specs on the market today but the price can’t be beat at $98 no-contract. We’ve been informed this will be released on June 23rd.
