RIM has confirmed some specs of a couple unreleased – but heavily leaked – smartphones. The Curve 9380 “Orlando” and the Bold 9790 “Bellagio” have been listed on a note to their developer community. RIM wrote that “New BlackBerry 7 OS smartphones are getting ready to launch, and to assist our developer community in preparing for this, we are posting device information, simulators, and opening up the BlackBerry App World™ storefront for submissions!”. Both of these, along with the BBX/QNX prototypes, will probably be formally announced at the upcoming BlackBerry DevCon next week.
As for the specs of each, the 9380 is confirmed to come with a 3.2-inch display with a resolution of 360 x 480. This is also known as the Curve Touch as other specs are rumoured to have this coming with a 800MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera (720p HD videos) and 1GB of RAM. As for the 9790, we’ve seen this on a couple Canadian carrier road maps (TELUS and WIND) and has a screen size of 2.44-inches touchscreen display with a QWERTY keyboard, in addition, rumoured to have a 1.2GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities.
Looks like next week is shaping up to be a good week for RIM!
