Nothing has popped up on TELUS’ site, nor the BlackBerry Software update section, but Bold 9900 users are reporting that the upgrade to OS 7.1 is now available (brings the mobile hotspot feature). So if you’re a TELUS user you might want to hook up your Berry to your Desktop Manager and see if it’s there waiting for you. We’re told that you’ll be greeted with the following message:
“An update of BlackBerry Device Software version 7.1 is available. This update includes optimizations and enhancements approved by your wireless service provider. Note: If your device is associated with an email account that uses a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, contact your administrator for more information about updating.”
Go forth and check to see if you have it. As always, back up your device before upgrading.
