Update: Virgin, Fido and Koodo battle it out with a new low-cost $25/month promo plan

As the end of the year comes to a close and carriers push to sign up new subscribers, both Virgin and Fido are going the distance by reducing or adding more features to their $25/month plan. Both come with pay-per-use-data and include the following:

– 150 Canada-Wide calling minutes
– Unlimited Evening and Weekend Canada-Wide calling
– Unlimited Canada, US and International text and picture messaging
– Voicemail and Caller ID

Fido’s promo plan expires on December 31st and Virgin’s is open until January 2nd. In addition, Bell, Virgin, Rogers and Fido are all now offering up the first month free.

Update: Koodo has now matched the Virgin and Fido plan. As expected, $25/month and the promo is valid until December 25th.
