Early last week Bell announced plans to exclusively launch the Sony Xperia Z “later this month.” This will be available in all three glorious colours (black, white and purple) and while they didn’t give a specific date, the contest page hinted its potential release of July 30th. We can now confirm this date to be the official launch day. The no-term pricing will be around $650 outright.
For a refresher of specs, the Xperia Z has a 5-inch 1080 x 1920p display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 13MP camera with Exmor RS for mobile, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 2330mAh non-removable battery. We’ve had some hands-on time with the Xperia Z in January at CES 2013 and it’s by far the nicest smartphone Sony has ever created – check it out here.
