Even though competitors like Nokia are considering expanding into the netbook space, RIM’s Co-CEO Jim Balsillie says they will remain focused on delivering and evolving their core BlackBerry business.
When asked about RIM’s future products he said “Form factor is a personal preference but it’s got to be something that lasts the better part of the day and you can hold up to your ear and clip onto your belt. Those are a very tight systems constraints for a netbook”.
However, people are buying netbooks more these days since it is smaller than your typical computer and alot bigger than your Smartphone. If you want a bigger keyboard, Balsillie says “If you want richer keyboards and richer displays you can just use perphiperals and bluetooth.”
