With Bell releasing a number of new devices over the past week, one of the more exciting ones to hit their lineup is the BlackBerry Bold 9700. We did an unboxing of this so you can see what you can expect to get inside the box when you get yours. (see below… the video is still being processed from YouTube and is still a bit fuzzy)
A rundown of the specs are RIM’s new trackpad (no more trackball) with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.44 inch (resolution of 480 x 360). Loaded with a 624 MHz processor, 256 MB Flash memory, built-in GPS and WiFi, 3.2MP camera with video capabilities, variable zoom, auto-focus and flash. Overall dimensions of the 9700 are 09 mm x 60 mm x 14.1 mm and weighs only 122 grams. This can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card. And finally the Bold 9700 comes with a 1500 mAh battery and a 3.5 mm stereo headset jack.
This is also available from Rogers and TELUS but there is one difference (apart from the savings of $0.05) is that you get a 2GB microSD card preloaded with exclusive content from the 2008/2009 NHL season, including: All-Star Game recap, NHL Winter Classic recap, Top 10 goals, Top 10 saves, Top 10 shootout goals, and an in-box booklet describing the Unlimited NHL mobile service and bonus content.
This is available on the following price plans:
3-year contract: $229.95
2-year contract: $449.95
1-year contract: $549.95
No contract: $599.95
