If you have an Android device there is always speculation of it being included on future software updates. We’ve seen this in the past where a device has been released then for whatever reason it’s declared that the best user experience is on its current OS and no software upgrades are coming. Recently manufacturers and carriers have done a good job at pushing out the OS upgrades faster.
News specifically for the HTC Desire, Desire Z and HD today. All these devices currently have OS 2.2 Froyo but an HTC spokesperson informed SlashGear that “We are excited to announce that the Desire HD, Desire Z, Desire and Incredible S will receive the Gingerbread update in Q2.”. Certainly on the right track on it’s now just a matter of how quickly HTC, Bell and TELUS complete the internal testing.
