Forbes released the “World’s Billionaire’s” recently and in the list of 1,210 billionaires there are 24 Canadians who made the cut. I personally thought that the Rogers family would make it on there but didn’t find them anywhere. However, co-CEO’s of Waterloo-based Research In Motion Mike Lazaridis came in at #651 with $1.9 billion and Jim Balsillie was ranked 692 with $1.8 billion. The richest Canadian was David Thomson & family with a worth of $23 billion. In addition, to put into comparison Carlos Slim Helu (Mexican telecom mogul) is the richest person on Earth with a mere $74 billion.
