Unlocking phones is getting to be common practice for the Canadian carriers, specifically the Big 3 (Rogers, Bell and TELUS) and their sub-brands. All of them have recently given their customers this option but comes with some restrictions and at a high cost that ranges from $50 – $75 per device.
Thanks to one of our tipsters for letting us know that Virgin Mobile has joined the unlocking party too. If you’re a Member you can unlock your device right now for $75… but there are some things to know and certainly some requirements such as the account must be active for 30 days and the iPhone, MiFi and data sticks cannot be unlocked. For your reading pleasure we’ve posted the full internal doc above.
