It’s actually quite shocking to see a Canadian carrier put the words “coming soon” on a new Windows Phone device. It’s very welcomed, but makes you do a double take because we’ve been stuck with the first-gen WP7 devices from the initial launch 14 months ago. Earlier this week it was announced that the Nokia Lumia 710 would be released by Rogers in February, and the Nokia Lumia 800 will be launched by TELUS. There was no indication as to when the 800 will be hitting stores, but TELUS has taken the time to tease us with anticipation by updating their website with the familiar “Coming Soon”. No word on price points either… but this is progress and it’s great to see Windows Phone handsets en route to Canada.
