LinkedIn has had a busy week. The social media company, which went public last year, has finally released its long-awaited iPad app, alongside Android and iPhone app updates it describes as “for professionals going places.”
The iPad app is really the most impressive addition here, with excellent and intuitive navigation across the network and a dynamic “ticker” home screen that aggregates news from within your LinkedIn network in a Flipboard-style manner.
Both the newly-universalized iOS app and the Android app can now sync contact information with your calendar entries, so if you’re “Meeting Joe Smith tomorrow” the app will integrate LinkedIn profile information about him into your calendar.
If you’re an avid LinkedIn user you’ll be very happy with these updates. Download it for iOS and Android.
