RIM recently announced that over 50 carriers around the world have started to test the new BlackBerry 10 OS. The OS just went Gold and seems like everyone is gunning towards making the January 30th, 2013 official unveiling – which is now only 44 days away and will happen in various cities around the world.
Today, Waterloo-based RIM has declared that their “BlackBerry 10 Technical Preview Program” has seeded “selected enterprise and government customers” in various sectors – financial, government, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, media, and distribution – and giving them the opportunity to beta test BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 and pre-production BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
In total there’s 120 companies/government agencies who are enrolled in the BlackBerry 10 Technical Preview Program (64 are Fortune 500 companies), but no word yet on how many are Canadian. These customers will the full BB10 experience and get a “first-hand experience” with BlackBerry Balance, the BlackBerry Hub and “the dedicated enterprise app store” and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10.
