Sonos has added SoundCloud integration to its cloud-connected wireless speaker platform. SoundCloud is the de facto music upload and discovery service for up and coming musicians, and an increasingly important venue for artists to share their new sounds.
SoundCloud will now appear in Sonos’s new Controller App, which was recently updated for Android and iOS. The integration is in beta, which means some bugs may be present, but it’s still a significant step in the right direction for Sonos, which seems to have more streaming music agreements than any other company on the planet right now.
Users can sign in with their SoundCloud account to access previously-loved songs, playlists and artists.
