While we won’t have to wait too much longer for Samsung to reveal the Galaxy Note 4 — they’veĀ already booked our time on September 3rd — new images from GSMArena today show what the device is expected to look like.
What we see from the front and back images is a familiar Note body with several apparent improvements: the sides are made of metal, allĀ machine-cut andĀ chamfered edges; and the bezelsĀ to the side of the display are all but gone.
There’s no flap covering the USB 3.0 port, so the Galaxy Note 4 either won’t be IP67 water resistant like the GS5 or Samsung has somehow managed to overcome that limitation. The back also appears to be made out of a hard leather-like material, slightly different to the Galaxy Note 3’s faux-leather rear. Also present is the S Pen slot on the bottom right, and what appears to be single heart rate scanner and flash module to the left of the camera lens.
The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch 2560×1440 pixel QHD Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 16MP rear camera similar to the Galaxy S5. No word on battery size or price, but expect both to be similar to last year’s model.
