After teasing that it would release an all-screen smartphone for several weeks, Lenovo revealed yet another Android handset with a display notch and chin.
The Lenovo Z5, announced today in Bejing, features a 6.2-inch 19:9 Full HD screen with a display notch. For what it’s worth, however, the company claims the Z5’s notch is narrower than the one found on the iPhone X. Lenovo is also claiming a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. For reference, ahead of the Z5’s unveiling, Lenovo Group vice-president Chang Cheng hinted the Z5 would feature a 95 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Elsewhere, the Z5 features an unspecified Qualcomm octa-core processor and 16-megapixel dual cameras. It also includes a 3,300mAh battery and 18W fast charging.
The Z5 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage will cost $1,299 yuan (approximately $263 CAD) when it goes on sale in China on June 12th, 2018, while the model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage will cost 1,799 yuan ($365.36 CAD).
