Chatr’s data network has been down for the past 15 hours

The carrier is reassuring subscribers that a fix is on the way

Chatr Mobile appears to be experiencing a widespread data outage.

Rumblings of the issue first started to percolate approximately 15 hours ago when the flanker brand’s customers took to Twitter to complain that they were unable to use data services.

Since then, Chatr Mobile’s social media team has been busy attempting to reassure customers that a fix is on its way. Chatr has said little about the situation other than that its support team is aware of the problem and working on a fix.

MobileSyrup has reached out to Rogers to request more information on the situation and ask for comment. We’ll update this article once the carrier responds.

In the meantime, let us know in the comment section if you’ve been unable to use your Chatr Mobile data services.

Update 05/06/18: According to a Rogers spokesperson, the Chatr data issue was resolved today at 10am ET. The data outage affected customers in Quebec, Ottawa and the Atlantic provinces. For customers that still cannot access wireless service, the carrier is advising that they restart their devices.

“The issue has since been resolved, and we sincerely apologize to our chatr customers for any inconvenience,” said a Rogers spokesperson in an emailed statement to MobileSyrup.
