PlayStation has launched its latest PS5 DualSense controller worldwide, and it sure is pretty.
Now available exclusively at Walmart Canada, the new “Icon Blue” gamepad features layered blue shades and a pattern of the iconic PlayStation button shapes on the touchpad.

And as a nice little flourish, the controller’s rear sports Katakana characters that spell “PlayStation” the Japanese way: “Pureisutēshon.”

PlayStation sent me the Icon Blue controller and honestly, I dig it. Besides neatly aligning with PlayStation’s signature blue hues, I really like how striking it is, especially in contrast to the standard white DualSense:

It also just scratches an itch. Admittedly, I was quite disappointed with the decidedly plain white-and-red 20th anniversary God of War controller that Sony also just released, given that I’m a massive fan of the series. (Seriously? 20 years of games and you couldn’t do something even a little bit more inspired?) But thankfully, the new blue controller satisfies that feeling of wanting a new DualSense variant.
You can buy the Icon Blue DualSense now from Walmart Canada for $109.96. (While that might seem a bit pricey, regular DualSense controllers are now $95 in Canada anyway, so if you need a new one, $15 more for this stunner ain’t bad.)
