Motorola has reversed its decision not to bring Android Marshmallow to the latest-generation Moto E LTE.
In an update to a blog post listing which of its devices will be upgraded to the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, the company has added the eight month old smartphone after considerable pushback from its vocal user base.
No approximate date is provided for when the device will be moved over to Marshmallow. Moreover, Motorola doesn’t state why it decided to alter its original decision, though it’s likely vocal Moto E owners had something to do with the company’s change of heart.
Launched earlier this year, we here at MobileSyrup liked the Moto E. Priced at $150 CAD at launch, Motorola made the all right decisions when it came to creating a smartphone with compelling features and an affordable entry price.
