Shortly after launching the feature last summer, Twitter has decided to discontinue its enterprise feature called Dashboard.
Dashboard is a tool that allows businesses access to several analytics tools, letting them track tweets, schedule posts, access analytics and monitor tweets about their brand or other key words.
According to several tweets from the Twitter Dashboard account, the feature will close its doors on February 3rd, 2017.

The division went on to tweet that features from Dashboard will hopefully reach the broader Twitter community in the future, though there isn’t a solid plan for how businesses will be able to take advantage of them in the future.
The Twitter Dashboard app likely didn’t have a large install base, as per its rank of number 432 in the Business category in the iTunes App Store. Twitter claims that the app was downloaded approximately 40 thousand times since launch and approximately 3,000 times over the past month.
While the product speaks to a larger trend of social media management apps, it’s likely that many of those interested in doing so are already invested in apps that have existed for longer such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
This announcement comes shortly after Twitter initiated the shut down of Vine in the fall of 2016, which spurred a reaction from fans of the video app.
