HTC is about to release another device to the European and Asian market, and based on what we’ve seen, it could make a good case for bringing it to Canada. The Desire X, known as the Proto in leaked renders, looks to have a 4-inch 800×480 resolution Super LCD display, 1Ghz dual-core processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal storage (with microSD slot!), a 5MP camera, 1650mAh battery with Android 4.0. At 9.3mm it’s not One S thin, nor does it have the specs to dethrone even the least competitive of mid-range Android devices.
But darn if it’s not one of the better looking devices on the market, with the polycarbonate finish we saw from the One X and a lovely metal streak covering the camera module.
As with all recent HTC smartphones, the Desire X will have Beats Audio integration. In all, it looks like a fairly stacked mid-range Android device, and one I’d love to get my hands on if HTC decides to bring it to North America. Here’s hoping!
