iPhone app of the Day: Next Streetcar

A new app has arrived in the Apple App Store that’s perfect for anyone living in (or visiting) Toronto that takes the TTC Streetcar. It’s aptly called “Next Streetcar” and the app informs you of when the next streetcar will arrive at your stop… for that matter it informs you of when the next 4 streetcars are coming. It’s an incredibly easy and intuitive app that you can choose your stop and also make it a favourite. Probably the best feature of this app is that they’ve built-in VoiceOver for the visually impaired and “users can enable vibration alerts, especially assisting those who are deaf or hard of hearing”.

It’s a cool app and well thought out, however it’s not free and it’ll cost you $0.99.
