Leaked specs for the HTC M7 are mouthwatering and totally realistic

We’ve heard a lot of whispers about HTC’s upcoming M7 flagship, but we’re finally getting a picture of what it will look like, and how fast it will be.

Obviously the device will sport HTC’s new 1080p Super LCD3 screen technology, but it will be slightly smaller at 4.7-inches. We’d also expect brightness to be improved over the Droid DNA. According to trusted source, Football, the M7 will sport a 1.7Ghz quad-core Qualcomm APQ8064 SoC, some 200Mhz faster than its DNA counterpart. It will have 2GB of RAM, 16-64GB of internal storage (non-expandable), a 13MP back camera, a 2MP front camera, and a 2300mAh non-removable battery.

Of course, the requisite radios and sensors will be included, such as LTE, WiFi, GPS/GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.0. Then there’s the matter of software; apparently the M7 will ship with a new version of Sense running atop Android 4.1.2 but this could change before the device’s announcement in February.

As for looks, it will resemble the slightly angular Droid DNA, with a matte black finish.

It all sounds pretty delectable, doesn’t it? The M7 is expected to debut during Mobile World Congress in February, so stay tuned for more details.
