Easyhome’s lease-to-own consumer tech financing offerings have always been a colossal scam, giving consumers seemingly low-cost monthly payments with ridiculous interest rates, but the retailers’ Cyber Monday deals are something else altogether.
For example, you can be the proud owner of an Xbox One S for $10 a week for 104 weeks, instead of $15 a week. This means that purchasing an Xbox One S through Easyhome costs $1040, in comparison to the $229 price tag the console is currently selling for at Walmart.
If that deal isn’t bad enough, Easyhome is also selling the 9.7-inch iPad Air 32GB for $10 a week instead of $19, for 104 weeks. This means that the total cost of what amounts to an aging tablet comes to $1040 once again. To put this in perspective, you can buy an iPad Air 32GB currently for $419 directly through Apple and likely significantly cheaper on the grey market.
And that’s not all. Have you ever wanted to purchase a 40-inch LED TV? Yes, Easyhome doesn’t even list what brand the television is. Well, for $10 a week for 156 weeks this nondescript television can be yours for an astounding $1560. In comparison, you could buy a 40-inch Insignia television for $349 right now.
While Easyhome may seem like a good idea given the retailer doesn’t require a down payment or credit check to purchase a product, it just really isn’t worth it in the long run.
Basically, don’t shop at Easyhome, ever.
