YellowPages.ca app gets iOS 7 redesign

One of Canada’s most recognizable brands just updated its iOS app to conform more closely with Apple’s design guidelines.

YellowPages has given its local discovery database app a makeover, splashing a garish shade of neon yellow across the top half of the app. The functionality hasn’t abated, though, adding Business, Person and Reverse Phone Number listings on the front page.

The main improvement comes with local business search: the app integrates with Apple Maps, previewing a location at the top of any results.

Of course, sponsored listings and deals are still heavily emphasized throughout the app, as are reviews by TripAdvisor, the company’s data partner.

YellowPages replicates many of the same results as Yelp or Foursquare, but its Person and Reverse Phone Number database are still useful for those times you want something a bit more granular. The app is also available on Android.
