There’s even more changes happening over at Research In Motion’s marketing department. co-CEO Jim Balsillie recently took over the Chief Marketing Officer role after Keith Pardy departed before the BlackBerry PlayBook was released. Now, Paul Kalbfleisch, RIM’s VP of Brand Creativity has left the company after 11 years. Taking his position is Roger Baxter who’ll take on the title of VP of Brand Communications. Baxter came from the advertising agency Publicis where he was the chief strategy officer in their Seattle office.
After more than a year of slipping market share, over hyped product launches and intense competition from Apple’s iPhone, iPad and Google’s Android devices and tablets it’ll be up to Baxter to globally revitalize the RIM/BlackBerry brand and product line.
