The obvious device launches for Google this year will be the Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel 3 XL and second generation Pixel buds. However, according to reliable insider Evan Blass, Google will also unveil a Pixel-branded smartwatch.
Besides the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, and second-gen Pixel Buds, a reliable source tells me — with high confidence — that Google’s fall hardware event will also introduce a Pixel-branded watch. Have a great summer!

With the recent rebrand of Android Wear to Wear OS, it seems fitting Google would eventually unveil its own smartwatch. This move would help the company gain market share and compete directly with the Apple Watch and other smartwatch manufacturers.
Yesterday, Qualcomm announced plans to unveil a new chip specifically designed for a smartwatch and wearables. It’s possible that the Pixel-branded smartwatch will be powered by this chip.
Blass noted that the new device lineup will take place in the fall, which could mean these could be announced early-October.
Update: Roland Quandt, a Berlin-based device leaker, has added to the Pixel smartwatch rumour, specifically stating that there will be three smartwatches from Google coming down the pipe. The devices’ rumoured codenames are “Triton”, “Ling” and “Sardine”. In addition, the Pixel smartwatches will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset.
Say hi to “Triton”, “Ling” and “Sardine”. https://t.co/OjV5xt54SK
