Tesla pushes back Model 3 international launch to 2019

Tesla is still behind on Model 3 production

In his latest Model 3 update, Elon Musk says international left-hand drive (LHD) models won’t start shipping until 2019.

The news seems to indicate Model 3 production line is still behind schedule. While Tesla is getting closer to its original goal of 5,000 cars per week, it can be reasoned that Tesla is trying to fulfill all of it back orders in the U.S. before it starts shipping worldwide.

This could also explain why an order has made its way to Canada since our cars are the same model that Tesla is shipping to customers in the U.S.
