“Fonolo” helps you avoid touch-tone menus

fonolo - avoid the dreaded touch-tone menus
A new product is on the market and it comes from a Canadian start up located in Toronto. “Fonolo” help you avoid those dreaded touch-tone menus such as “Press 1 for English”, “Press *8 for Customer Service”… and you get transferred to accounting.

As stated on their website “Fonolo transcribes the phone menus of large companies, so you can navigate them visually”. All you need to do is pick the company you are calling and visually scan through their phone menu and call… then Fonolo goes to work with what they label as “Deep Dialing”. The system is like this: Fonolo will automatically dial the number you want and navigate their menu and then dial your phone. When you answer, you will be connected to the right spot in the menu.

It is still in a closed Beta version now but will hopefully be available soon. Check them out here.

Fonolo is in closed beta for now but look for the official launch soon. We’ll keep you posted on WirelessNorth.ca with a full review once it becomes available to the public.
