Telus to launch text message money transfers

Thanks to our friends at Phonemag.com for the recent news that Telus is the first North American carrier to offer Anam’s SMART SMS messaging system for enhanced performance of its wireless prepaid text message services. With this system anyone who is subscribed with Telus can enable instant global money transfers to anyone in a their address book. The system also allows mobile advertising which would bring advertising inside sent text messages that offer specific deals or offers. In order to get the ads to your your phone you will have to opt in… Telus has yet to confirm if they will proceed with the text advertising.
