In Motion: “Canadian Wireless Company to Watch”

In Motion Technology has been named one of “10 Canadian Wireless Companies to Watch” by market research and analysis firm IDC. The study profiled 10 early stage Canadian-based companies offering wireless solutions that have potential to make an impact in the information and communication technology (ICT) market of tomorrow.

“The companies profiled in this study have differentiated themselves; they ‘zig’ when their competitors ‘zag,’” said Krista Collins, analyst, Canadian ICT Innovation and Export at IDC Canada. “Furthermore, they take a customer-centric approach that speaks to customers’ needs. In Motion’s solution is designed to enable CIO’s to consolidate traffic over the ‘best performing’ network, and preserve their investment when carrier networks are upgraded, and new networks are introduced,” says Collins.

IDC highlighted In Motion Technology’s work with the Richmond Ambulance Authority (RAA). The onBoard Mobile Gateway has enabled RAA to deploy more applications faster, and report significant mobile IT accomplishments such as reducing dispatch times by 65 to 75% and achieving its mandate to respond to emergencies in less than nine seconds, 90 percent of the time.

“We are pleased to be recognized by IDC, a firm at the forefront of IT market research and analysis,” said Kirk Moir, CEO of In Motion Technology. “Our products are used by more than 100 mission-critical enterprises and agencies, including some of the most demanding organizations in North America, to lower costs and improve communications, operations, and response times.”
