Ottawa cops: No incoming text messages allowed!

Although the Ottawa Police department does not use their mobile phones for texting that much, they are being directed by Chief Vern White not to send text messages in any way. They are with Telus who recently started charging $0.15 for incoming text messages. Geoff Simpson, Director of Financial Services and Material Management, said: “It would be a fairly low number. We’re having all text messaging blocked,” The order will last indefinitely.
