Ontario to ban use of cellphone while driving?

The Canadian Government claims that 20% all driving accidents are caused by the use of cell phone use while driving. This has prompted Transportation Minister Jim Bradley to propose a new law in Ontario that could see ban of using your cell phone while driving.

If caught talking, e-mailing or sending text messages you could be fined up to $500. And if you put others in danger, you could face fines of up to $1,000, six demerit points, a driver’s licence suspension and even jail time!. Quebec and Nova Scotia currently have this law in effect.
