TELUS launches “shock resistant” Motorola V750

v750Now we can relax a bit , chill out… sit back and start enjoying the holiday season.  If you are still pining for a BlackBerry Storm be sure to enter our contest to win ours. However, if you are looking for something else, possibly more rugged and fierce… Telus has some good news as the Motorla V750 has been set loose.

This  is the flip phone that meets U.S. Military  specifications 810F. What does that mean you ask? I did some research  on the U.S. Army Developmental Test Command (DTC) website and here are all the conditions the V750 can handle:

Low Pressure (Altitude), High Temperature, Low Temperature, Temperature Shock, Contamination by Fluids, Solar Radiation (Sunshine), Rain, Humidity, Fungus, Salt Fog, Sand and Dust, Explosive Atmosphere, Immersion, Acceleration, Vibration, Acoustic Noise, Shock, Pyroshock, Acidic Atmosphere, Gunfire, Temperature, Humidity, Vibration, and Altitude, Icing/Freezing Rain, Ballistic Shock, Vibro-Acoustic/Temperature.

You can pick this up on a 3-year contract for $199.99, 2-year contract for $299.00, 1-year contract for $349.99 and outright for $399.99.

The V750 weights in at 111 grams, has a 2 megapixel camera that has video capabilities, your standard features such as Calendar, calculator, alarm clock, world clock, speakerphone and a 2.5 mm earphone jack and can hold up to 8GB for all your pics, music, videos. External display is 1.6 inches and Internal display is 2.2 inches with a resolution of 240×320.
