CRTC asks public to talk about Internet traffic management practices

Remember a few weeks ago the story of how the Weather Network wants the CRTC to look into Internet Traffic via mobile devices. It seems like the CRTC has now opened up a full discussion area and wants the Canadian public to give feedback over Internet Traffic Management as a whole.

“The CRTC is examining the current practices of ISPs operating in Canada, as well as those that could be adopted in the future. The proceeding’s main objective is to determine whether and to what extent such practices
are appropriate under the Telecommunications Act.” Check out this video of CRTC Executive Director Namir Anani.

The online consultation can be found here and will end midnight EST on April 30, 2009
